You will have leisure time before we pick you up from your hotel go to Toa Kham pier to take a Dragon Boat cruising upstream Perfume river to see Thien Mu pagoda - the first pagoda built by founder of Nguyen lords. Thien Mu means Celestial Lady who foretold the first Nguyen Lord Nguyen Hoang about his political future. You will have chance to see sampans, Truong Tien bridge, French governor buildings, ... alongside the riverbanks while touring from downtown to Thien Mu pagoda.
We continue to the Imperial City - the residence of royal Nguyen family who ruled Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 when Ho Chi Minh took over. At the citadel, we will have a walking visit to most notable buildings inside the Imperial city: Noon Gate, Phoenix Pavilion, Harmony Palace, Forbidden Purple City, Mandarin Palace, Reading Palace, Royal Theater, .Queen Mother Palace, ... Stroll in the middle of the ruins from French war to American war would make you more appreciate the grim chapter of Vietnam history.
Heading towards Khai Dinh tomb after Imperial city to visit one of the most magnificent mausoleum out of many mausoleums around city of Hue. This tomb/mausoleum is typical for the East-meets-West architecture fusion with beautiful ornate ceramics and glass decorations during the late period of Vietnam history under the French colonial rule.

Day 2: DMZ full day (B) - HISTORY TOUR
9:00 pick up from your hotel and head West along Highway 9 to visit Highway 9 National Cemetery where more than 10.000 NVA soldiers rest in peace labeled as ‘unknown soldier’, the Rockpile - the American observation post for Communist infiltration, Ho Chi Minh trail – supply route of North Vietnamese for Vietcong in South Vietnam, and Khe Sanh Combat Base – a place holds the battle for American reputation during Vietnam war
12:00 go back to Dong Ha for lunch (You will have Pho noddle soup, fried chicken rice or spring rolls)
13:00 go to 17th parallel, Hien Luong bridge/Ben Hai river, the former border between North and South. Then turn right to the toward the ocean to visit Vinh Moc tunnel – a real testament for Vietnamese determination fighting against America.
16:00 drive straight to Phong Nha town

Day 3: Paradise cave and Phong Nha cave (B) - NATURE TOUR
After breakfast, you will have enough time for free services at Chay Lap farmstay such as kayaking (please ask the staffs). Once you are ready, at late morning, we will visit Paradise cave - the longest cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park which boasts its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites until noon time. Drive to Phong Nha town where we have lunch (guide's recommendation) before boarding a boat cruise to tour Phong Nha cave - the unique underground river cave. As soon as reaching back the boat pier, approx 4:00 pm, we drive straight to Dong Hoi railway station for night train to Hanoi (or hotel, airport)
